Ribston Pippin

DESCRIPTION

The Ribston Pippin is an average-sized, orange-brown apple, ripening to a bright crimson and yellow color. It has a very strong flavor making it an excellent dessert apple.

HISTORY

This apple was first grown in 1707 in the United Kingdom and was popular by the 1800s when it was first shipped to America.
