DESCRIPTION

The popular Jonagold is a good-looking apple with an orangish-red blush. This crisp and juicy apple is less acidic than Golden Delicious and has a honey-like flavor. Look for Jonagolds in mid-October.

HISTORY

The Jonagold is a cross between Golden Delicious and Jonathan that was first developed in New York state in 1943, then later introduced in 1968.
