Claygate Pearmain
DESCRIPTION
This variety with its rich aromatic scent, has a cream-colored flesh with a nut-like flavor. Its mostly light green and red-orange peel is striped slightly in red with specks of russeting.
HISTORY
The Claygate Pearmain was discovered in the 1800s in Surrey, England. It was a popular addition to most Victorian and Edwardian home orchards.
