Gala

DESCRIPTION

The Gala is crunchy, juicy, sweet and red-orange, with yellow stripes. Well suited for snacking, salads, and baking, Galas are ready for picking in early October.

HISTORY

Developed in New Zealand and introduced in 1934, the Gala derives its genetic heritage from Cox's Orange Pippin and both Red and Golden Delicious.
