French Apple-Pear Salad

  • 2 New England apples, cored and sliced in spears
  • 2 pears, cored and sliced in spears
  • 2 ribs celery, chopped
  • 2 T lemon juice
  • ½ t vanilla
  • ¼ c walnut or canola oil
  • salt to taste
  • 2 t tarragon
  • ½ c toasted walnuts
  • Brie or bleu cheese
  1. In a medium bowl, place fruit and celery.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together lemon juice, vanilla, oil, and salt, and pour over salad.
  3. Top with tarragon, walnuts, and cheese.
