Apples with Cinnamon and Walnuts (Mele con Cannella e Noce)

  • 3 T butter
  • 7-8 New England apples, cored and sliced
  • 1 T brown sugar
  • ½ t cinnamon
  • ¼ t nutmeg
  • ⅓ c walnuts, chopped
  1. In a large skillet, melt butter, and add all ingredients except walnuts.
  2. On medium-high heat, let cook down until apples are tender, then add walnuts.
  3. Cook a few more minutes. Serve alongside just about any entrée!
