Apples with Cinnamon and Walnuts (Mele con Cannella e Noce)
- 3 T butter
- 7-8 New England apples, cored and sliced
- 1 T brown sugar
- 1/2 t cinnamon
- 1/4 t nutmeg
- 1/3 c walnuts, chopped
- In a large skillet, melt butter, and add all ingredients except walnuts.
- On medium-high heat, let cook down until apples are tender, then add walnuts.
- Cook a few more minutes. Serve alongside just about any entrée!
