DESCRIPTION

Kearsarge is a medium, round or boxy apple with red striping on a greenish-yellow skin. Its cream-colored flesh is crisp and moderately juicy, and it has a mild, sweet flavor with hints of pear. It is good for both fresh eating and cooking.

HISTORY

Kearsarge is named for the mountain that dominates the view from Gould Hill Orchards, where the apple was discovered and where it is exclusively grown.
