DESCRIPTION

Ortley (White Detroit, Vandyne, White Bellflower, Woolman’s Long Pippin), is a New Jersey apple introduced in 1825. Ortley has patches of red on a pale yellow skin. Its dense flesh is a little dry and astringent. The fruit bruises easily, and the trees are susceptible to pests.
