Hudson's Golden Gem
|Discovered||1931 Tangent, Oregon|
Hudson's Golden Gem has heavy russeting on its gold-green peel, and its flesh has a sweet and juicy pear-like flavor making it an excellent fresh-eating and cider apple. This is a good choice for the amateur grower. Harvest begins early to mid October.
Hudson's Golden Gem was discovered as a chance seedling at Hudson Nurseries in Tangent, Oregon in 1931.
