Cameo

DESCRIPTION

Cameo, also known as American Cameo, is a relatively new apple variety with red striping on a buttery yellow skin. It is a sweet, crunchy apple with a thin and tender peel.

HISTORY

Cameo was developed from a chance seedling in Washington state. Thought to be a cross between Red and Golden Delicious, it was introduced in 1998.
