- 2 c apples, unpeeled and shredded
- 1-1/2 c rolled oats
- 1-1/2 c water
- 1-1/2 c (9 oz) prunes, pitted, whole or halved
- 2 T honey
- 2 T lemon juice
- ½ t cinnamon
- fresh fruit, sliced (apple, banana, pineapple, orange)
- almonds or pecans, chopped
- Combine muesli ingredients, cover, and refrigerate overnight.
- In the morning, spoon some of the muesli into a cereal bowl.
- Top with your choice of fresh fruits and nuts. Serve with milk or a dollop of plain yogurt.
Muesli can be stored in covered container in refrigerator for several days.
