Honey-Baked Apples

  • 6 large Rome apples, cored
  • 6 t honey
  • 1/4 c orange juice
  • sugar and nutmeg, to taste
  • 1 orange, segmented and quartered
  1. Peel apples 1/3 of the way down from the stem end. Pour a little hot water in baking pan.
  2. Set apples in the pan. Combine honey and orange juice; pour into centers of apples.
  3. Bake at 400° for 50-60 minutes or until apples are tender.
  4. Sprinkle tops with a little sugar and nutmeg. Run under broiler to glaze.
  5. Tuck orange pieces in center of apples.
