- 6 large Rome apples, cored
- 6 t honey
- ¼ c orange juice
- sugar and nutmeg, to taste
- 1 orange, segmented and quartered
- Peel apples ⅓ of the way down from the stem end. Pour a little hot water in baking pan.
- Set apples in the pan. Combine honey and orange juice; pour into centers of apples.
- Bake at 400° for 50-60 minutes or until apples are tender.
- Sprinkle tops with a little sugar and nutmeg. Run under broiler to glaze.
- Tuck orange pieces in center of apples.
